Jennifer Leib, Senior Vice President, Cavarocchi-Ruscio-Dennis Associates
With the acquisition of HealthFutures in 2009, Jennifer Leib joined Cavarocchi-Ruscio-Dennis Associates as a Senior Vice President and brings experience in personalized and preventive medicine and biotechnology.
Jennifer is board certified in medical genetics and spent five years at the National Institutes of Health working on intramural clinical research studies. She transitioned to policy in 2003 with the prestigious National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI)/American Society of Human Genetics’ Genetics and Public Policy Fellowship. During the fellowship, Jennifer worked in the office of the NHGRI Director, Dr. Francis S. Collins, and also worked on Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s health policy staff for two years as a Senior Legislative Fellow. While working for Senator Kennedy, Jennifer focused on biomedical research policy, public health preparedness efforts, vaccine development, genetic nondiscrimination, and disease specific legislation.
Prior to co-founding HealthFutures, a firm specializing in personalized and preventive medicine, she served as the Director of Government Relations and Public Policy for Affymetrix, a research tools company, where she played a lead advocacy role for the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act and the Genomics and Personalized Medicine Act. Jennifer holds a master’s degree in genetic counseling from The Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree with distinction in sociology from the University of Michigan.
